Katherine Wasniowski: a ray of sunshine dedicated to our costumers

At SCS, there are people who truly brighten our days. Not only because they do their job well, but because they make the work environment better. Katherine Wasniowski is definitely one of them.

Always smiling, extremely approachable, and naturally unifying, Katherine is one of those colleagues who makes you feel like you’ve known her forever from the very first conversation. A contagious positive energy, genuine listening skills, and that little “I’ll take care of it” that instantly reassures both the client and the team.

A Personality that Makes People Feel Good

When asked how she would describe herself, Katherine's words perfectly reflect how it feels to work with her:

''I’m naturally a social, positive person and a real team player, as they say. I’m strong in communication, I listen, and I like finding solutions. People feel comfortable with me, both clients and coworkers.''

And that’s exactly it. Katherine is that respectful and bright presence who makes everyone feel at ease. A rare and precious quality.

A Journey Guided by The Heart

Before joining SCS, Katherine worked for nearly five years at a company she really loved and where she saw herself staying long term. Unfortunately, when the company reduced hours due to COVID, she had to make an important decision and change jobs.

She then found herself in another role, but quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit. She was looking for a positive work environment that offered meaningful challenges and real opportunities for growth.

''When I love my job, I want to stay. I want the company to succeed, as if I were a member of the family. ''

This need to belong and this desire to contribute to something bigger than just a job led her to look for an environment where she could truly thrive. That’s where she found SCS. 

It Was Obvious From The Interview

Katherine still remembers how much her interview impacted her:

''I loved my interview at SCS. The energy and the atmosphere of management really made the difference. I quickly felt supported and integrated into the team.''

Her Role: The First Voice Customer Hear

Concretely, Katherine plays an essential role: she is often the first person clients speak with. And she doesn’t take that lightly.

In her daily work, she:

• processes and places orders (by phobe and through the SCS cart)
• conducts research (ex.: finding a part number, verifying alternatives)
• communicates with the purchasing department
• answers customer questions
• resolves issues (missing items, errors, urgencies, follow-ups)

What Makes Her The Proudest

What motivates Katherine daily isn’t just “processing orders.” It’s making a real difference. It’s truly helping.

She feels most accomplished when she can go above and beyond expectations:

''When I go above and beyond for a client, it’s really rewarding to receive positive feedback and see their satisfaction, especially with RUSH requests!''

One particular moment stood out: a client was missing an item they absolutely needed to move forward with a project. With the help of her team, Katherine did everything she could to find a solution and ship the RUSH part for the next morning.

The result? A relieved, grateful client and a huge sense of personal pride.

A Challenge: Learning an Entire World

Even though Katherine is very comfortable with customer service, the field comes with a big challenge: the complexity of products and parts. 

''When I arrived at SCS, I thought we only sold sprinklers… big mistake! We sell way more than I imagined. It’s all new to me and I still have a lot to learn, especially on the technical side!” ''

But that’s exactly what makes her strong: she doesn’t get discouraged. She learns, improves, asks questions, and gets involved. A true growth mindset. 

What Excites Her Most at SCS: Possibilities

What Katherine loves most here is that the potential for growth is real. She feels she can grow.

''There are opportunities to grow and/or join other departments at SCS. They are accommodating and attentive. I feel valued and safe.''
